Over Christmas, we had some of our sprouts. The bottom sprouts looked a bit odd - sprouts sprouting on the side stem of a sprout.
Carrots Love Tomatoes - the book mentions a suggestion to deter birds from eating fruit. ”When fruits start to ripen, hang sliced onions in the trees-the birds dislike the scent and will avoid the fruit.” A tip against blackfly “is to use a fermented extract of nettle” - how do you ferment nettles? Would nettle beer work?

isnt nettle tea the same thing? putting them in water and leaving for a few weeks - is that sort of fermenting?

Thanks Dee. I used an old picture taken at one of the flower shows a few years ago - Shrewsbury 2004 I think.
